Second Life loses its CEO Jan 25th 2014, 21:45 Rod Humble, Chief Executive Officer at Second Life operator Linden Lab, has announced that he is leaving the company. A Second Life player's blog post claims that Humble left the company a week ago, which he later wrote about on his personal Facebook page. "It's been a great 3 years!" the post reads. "All my thanks to my colleagues at Linden Lab and our wonderful customers I wish you the very best for the future and continued success! I am starting up a company to make Art, Entertainment and unusual things! More on that in a few weeks!" Neither Humble nor Linden Lab have made an official comment, but Humble no longer appears on the company's leadership page on its website. Humble, who's best known for his work on The Sims franchise, left his position as Executive Vice President of EA Play for Linden Lab in 2010. Before joining Electronic Arts, Humble also worked on the first EverQuest. He also made several small, experimental games that you can find on his personal website.
